I grew up in a household (A weird one to say the least) that always had two cars, one for my father, one for my mother. This usually makes a lot of sense from a logistics point of view, since both live different lives. However, the problem occurs when you don’t actually need two cars. Here’s why you probably are in that boat without knowing it.

Alternatives

Cars are expensive, so anything you can do to reduce your reliance on them will save you a ton of money in the long run. The majority of trips a person makes throughout the year are so insignificant that they could very likely walk or bike to their location without really breaking a sweat, I know when I actually go outside on my bicycle for a workout I don’t break a sweat until the latter half so it’s a real possibility. Try replacing one of your cars with a bicycle or even carpooling and you’ll quickly start to realize you don’t necessarily need two cars, at the very least you don’t need to use them for every single one of your trips, especially if you live in some sort of urban center!

Remote Life

More and more people are transitioning to living and working a very remote life, these lives no longer require a daily commute and therefore have little reliance on a automobile, even if you have to pick up groceries, you’re far better off scheduling…
