Why The S650 Mustang Could Be Amazing
With rumors of the S650 Mustang being paired with a hybrid option for release in either 2023 or 2024 there is a lot of hype and excitement to see what sort of platform Ford will deliver with the next generation of the pony car. While there are a lot of different reasons to be excited for a new generation mustang, I wanted to lay out the three reasons that I’m most interested in the next generation mustang in this article, so let’s take a look!
Hybrid Powertrain
There have been some rumors that come with quite of bit of weight to them pointing towards Ford’s next iteration of the mustang featuring a hybrid power train. Not only does this mean that we’ll get decent fuel economy thanks to the electrification but it also means that we’ll likely be able to gain a small but meaningful power increase as well. Whether we’re talking about 4,6 or 8 cylinders being mated to a hybrid power unit it’s easy to see that we could be gaining an additional 100 usable horsepower just from a small hybrid motor. Let’s not forget my personal excitement behind a vehicle that has superb fuel efficiency! No one likes having to stop at the gas station to fill up, I’d much rather have a tank of gas take me for 700 miles or more!
