There seems to be a general consensus, primarily in the west of course that you need a huge nest egg in order to retire comfortably. Which I just find absolutely baffling. While I’m not within touching range of retiring quite yet, I do feel pretty comfortable making the statement that retirement really isn’t all that difficult to reach in a few years times. Here’s why.

Cost Of Living

Regardless of what the majority of news outlets tell you (No, I’m not saying this is a conspiracy theory) the cost of living is actually going down as we continue on this wild ride of techno-modernism. Look at what you can do with your standard smartphone, my phone cost me $350 brand new and it allows me to attend classes online, invest, learn a language, watch movies, write content online, shop, listen to music, take photos, navigate the world oh and it allows me to make phone calls as well. The fact is there are so many features and tools packed into our pocket friendly super computers that the economic benefits far outweigh the initial cost of $350, on top of that I personally only pay $25 for my service as well through Google Fi and there are even cheaper alternatives out there as well.
