Whether we’re talking about Dogecoin, Shiba Inu or Cummies, meme coins have certainly left their mark on the world over the last few years. While likely started as a joke initially they’ve actually grown in many circumstances to admirable market cap cryptocurrencies. I will admit though, as I write this almost all crypto tokens are experiencing a major crash in terms of valuation. That being said I want to talk about why not just the coins I listed but meme coins in general have a place in the wonderful world of cryptocurrencies.

Lighthearted

Money has always been a very heavy topic for most people. Either you don’t have enough, or you have so much that you don’t have time to spend it. Either case, it can be depressing. Mix in the crazy world of the token economy and things can swing wildly in either direction. Depression or stimulation. That’s where I think meme coins come in handy. They’re genuinely a lighthearted take on money, for the most part. I won’t say that there is zero greedy or even malicious intend behind these tokens because that would be a lie. However, by using a form of currency that brings to might more cute and cuddly thoughts versus the size of Elon Musk’ net worth, I think they could help move the idea of talking about money from something that almost feels taboo, to something that is just a lot…
