Why I Use Credit Cards

I watch and read a lot of personal finance content across various platforms. Whether I’m watching YouTube or reading articles on Medium, I think one of the best ways to get good with money is just to learn about it, regardless of the format. You simply don’t need a finance degree to be good with money. One of the things I see a lot of conflicting opinions on remains to be credit cards. Some preach the idea of never using a credit card and some preach the ability to open up 12 all at the same time. So, I’m going to share a little bit as to why exactly I use credit cards as my main form of personal transactions.

Convenience

There is a certain level of convenience that comes with credit cards, never really* having to worry about whether or not you have enough cash in your account or whether or not the money you’ve already spent on it has settled or not. Assuming you don’t overly abuse your credit, card and max it out every weekend that you end up at the bar you can comfortably show up to nearly every venue or restaurant and trust that your faithful credit card will swipe, process and clear quickly and conveniently.

Points

Many people spend a lot more time and energy on utilizing credit card points to their true maximum potential. Me on the other hand, I just like to convince myself that I’ve earned a couple hundred…
