Why I Shop On Amazon In 2021
If you want to prove to yourself that you’re saving the planet, the last thing you want to do is shop on Amazon. Yet here I am, a full fledged (self-proclaimed) tree hugger who uses Amazon, at least on a weekly basis! So let’s talk about why I use Amazon even when I go out of my way to reduce my damage to the planet in many other aspects of my life.
The Ease
There’s no way you can talk about using Amazon without talking about how convenient it is to use! Amazon is so close to becoming the one stop shop for just about anything you could possibly imagine! I remember people used to tell me why I should avoid stores like Wal-Mart and one of their arguments was that you could find everything Wal-Mart has if you went to five or six local stores. Look, I love supporting local businesses but if I’m in a hurry, there’s just no way I’m going to go to five or six stores when I could just go to Wal-Mart. The same applies to Amazon, specialty service is nearly dead, why would I want to shop around multiple websites when I could just go to Amazon!
The Speed
I hardly ever need two day shipping, which is part of the reason why I don’t end up subscribing to Amazon Prime. That being said, I love when I get that E-Mail in my inbox that is letting me know that my package is going to be arriving a day earlier than expected. The…
