Why I Believe In Ethereum

Just a forewarning, while I’m very likely what many would consider to be a “finance bro” I don’t actually know a whole lot about Ethereum or cryptocurrency for that matter, but I am a believer in both, here’s why.

The Internet

The fact that more and more people are coming online means we need a more capable way of exchanging goods and services. Look at what the pandemic has done to the economy overall, millions of jobs have now shifted towards working completely remote, meaning more people are on the internet on an hourly basis as professionals not just consumers. If there is one thing I learned over my 27 years of life, it’s that sometimes the things that we don’t fully understand that will become the most powerful resources in our lives. Think about how many people didn’t see any value in the internet, now apply that to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. That’s 1 vote for Ethereum.

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

I have a hard time explaining NFTs outside of the blanket statement of “digital goods and assets” which is a fairly decent explanation but it only holds half of the answer to solving the future of technology.
