Formula 1 has long utilized a pit strategy to add a sense of excitement and flair to the sport, the problem is, Pirelli (Current Formula 1 tire supplier) is spending millions of dollars developing tires to fail after short mileages. This literally goes against the very philosophy of Formula 1’s engineering spirit. Here’s why Formula 1 should switch to using road legal tires.
