Why Cost Of Living Will Go Down Thanks To Technology

As it stands right now, technology is pretty expensive. Whether we’re talking about using the latest and greatest smartphones, the latest and greatest vehicles or maybe just having a nice bicycle, these things can be expensive to purchase outright. While this is relatively true I also believe that technology ultimately makes life a lot cheaper over both the short and long term time periods. Here’s why!

Consolidation

If we go back to my birth year of 1994, the idea of a pocketable phone was far off and a pocketable TV was even further off. Now, only 27 years later our smartphones can nearly do it all. Whether you’re trying to attend a video meeting, watch anime on Crunchyroll, edit an excel sheet, listen to music or you know, make a phone call, our devices today can nearly do everything you would ever want them to do (for now). This is what makes technology a game changer when it comes to the cost of living, instead of forcing individuals to go out and purchase multiple items in order to meet a certain standard of living we can just hope that individuals only make one decent purchase that should last them a couple of years. Now, consumerism isn’t some sort of cure for the cost of living, but it does help that more and more services and features are being integrated into our smartphones. As this continues to compound…
