Why Apple May Be The Most Eco-Friendly Tech Brand
I only ever owned one iPhone (iPhone SE) and while I wasn’t the biggest fan of the software side of things, I absolutely loved the hardware, as a matter of fact the only reason I decided to ditch that phone was because the battery was starting to give up on me. All that said to say, I’m not an Apple fan, but I am a fan of a lot of their eco-friendly decisions, so let’s check a few of them out!
Updates Galore
While I love that my Pixel 3a got three years of major software updates (Android 10, 11 and now 12), that’s really nothing compared to what apple has on offer, if I had kept my iPhone SE I would be running iOS 15.1 right now meaning I would have gotten 6 full years of updates! That’s not only incredible from a eco-conscious consumer, but that’s just awesome in general! If you avoid upgrading your phone all the time like I do, you’ll quickly appreciate the fact that you can by a device and expect multiple years of software updates to ensure your device is secure and optimized! With Apple supplying this updates for so long more and more people can keep their devices and therefore reduce the amount of e-waste that is created! Talk about a win for everyone!
