Top 3 Highlights You Gotta Know From The 2024 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix
This had to be one of the spiciest races in recent memory, which we’ll get into shortly! But not only was there some drama from the fastest cars on the grid but we also saw some old rivalries begin to brew again. All of that said, let’s talk about my top 3 highlights from the 2024 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix!
Piastri Secures Maiden Victory in Dramatic Race
After securing the lead of the race early on, Oscar Piastria now had pit stop priority within his own team. Or at least that is the convential line of thinking, before we knew it, Lando Norris was allowed to undercut Piastri forcing McLaren into somewhat of a panic mode. Norris was informed that he was to give the position back to his teammate later but Norris refused for what felt like the entire race. Eventually, with only a few laps to go, and after many radio conversations Lando Norris gave position back to Oscar Piastri who went on to secure his maiden Grand Prix Victory (He previously won a sprint race though). Now we’re dealing with the fallout of Lando Norris nearly going rogue and ignoring team orders. We may be seeing the beginning of an entirely new rivalry!
