Top 3 Highlights From The 2023 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix
With some of the best qualifying to date and one of the best opening laps in the 2023 season, I think it’s fair to say that that 2023 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix was quite the success as a fan of Formula 1. That being said, the winner was quite predictable but there was still quite a bit of on track action that made so let’s get started with my top 3 highlights from the race!
Lewis Loses The Lead
Following a remarkable qualifying lap garunteeing that Lewis Hamilton would start on pole for Sunday’s grand prix, everything went up in smoke for Lewis Hamilton by the end of lap one. While the majority of Formula 1 fans and spectators could have guessed that even though Lewis was able to start on pole his chances of staying on pole were quite minimal, especially when Max Verstappen and the McLarens were starting right behind him. Long story short, Lewis Hamilton finished the first lap in P4, having been overtaken by Max Verstappen and both McLarens. While it was a bummer for Lewis Hamilton fans, I think seeing his pole lap was satisfying and it garuntees the fans, that Lewis Hamilton is still a world championship contender given the right machinery.
