Should You Be Loyal To Certain Brands?

I was a little conflicted in regards to how exactly I wanted to write this article but I think I have the basic idea down now. The fact is, all of us no matter how aware we are of our consumer habits maintain some sort of loyalty towards brands across various industries. Some of us are loyal to brands because of past experience, some were simply thrown into it thanks to the previous generations loyalty. Whichever way you look at it, we all do it. I want to talk about whether or not you should be, so let’s start with simple yes and no sections

Yes, You Should

There are two ways to look at the various benefits of maintaining brand loyalty, first off there are actual, tangible benefits of brand loyalty, whether we’re talking about rewards points for using your favorite convenience store or perhaps free goodies that go out every so often to frequent customers. It very clearly depends on the actual organization but there are real benefits from using the same brand over time. The other benefit isn’t quite as tangible, but it is important. Using the same brand over time will allow you to develop experience with that brand in a very habitual way. Whether we’re talking about a shoe brand or your car, gaining some experience in regard to this specific brand of products allows you to take care of things far better than if you were to switch brands…
