It’s been proven time and again that reducing your own individual carbon footprint is more or less a scam. While that’s partially true, that shouldn’t take away the collective action that people can do to reduce their own individual environmental harm. In my opinion, the individual carbon footprint is still really important because when I think of carbon polluting organizations, I know deep down, that those organizations are indeed run by individuals just like me, with more or less wealth of course. So without further ado let me share with you how I make an attempt to reduce my carbon footprint on a daily basis.

Energy Needs

Over the past year or so I’ve worked extremely hard to reduce my needs from an energy perspective. Whether that’s by reducing my time on the road, using more energy efficient appliances or by reducing my overall items that are plugged in these all play a role in how much energy we need as an individual. While I’d love to stand here and tell you that I now have solar panels lacing my backyard that would be a clear lie. Instead however, I’ve gotten rid of several devices that slowly but surely drew power (Microphone, additional laptop, speakers and several other items) all in an effort to reduce the amount of energy that I need. Not only will this save you a little bit of money in the long run when you start…
