How Google’s New Ripple Standard Could Change the world

Google has been toying around with radar sensors for years now, looking back at their ill-fated Pixel 4 with their built in Soli technology, it’s clear to see that Google really believes in this technology. Since the demise of the Pixel 4 and Soli right along with it, Google has been a lot slower to adopt radar technology into their products. With a Google Nest Hub featuring the technology for sleep tracking that’s where the current story ends. But today Google has announced a new open source project called Ripple that will open up radar sensors for various industries and DIYer’s across the world. So here is how Google’s new radar tech could change the world!

Mobility

Whether we’re talking about bicycles, electric cars or just a dude walking down the street, things have never been more interesting when it comes to the world of traveling from one place to the next. Better infrastructure and new technologies are leading the way towards safer and more efficient modes of transportation. With Ripple we could soon see vehicles quickly implement safety mechanisms that reduce the chances of rear ending someone in traffic or completely preventing a deadly accident. Let’s not down play the reduction in potential bumps in your every day parking lot either! With Ripple or radar in general we are going to start placing a lot more…
