How Folding Phones Could Change The World

I rarely upgrade my devices. Looking at my 3-year-old smartphone, my 6-year-old laptop and my 11-year-old Netflix dedicated laptop many would say I’m living in the past. While I’m not here to tell you why I do this I will add the relevant disclaimer that I’ve never daily’d a folding phone, but I do certainly see them changing the game when it comes to using a smartphone or any piece of technology as we move forward into the future. Here’s why.

Portability

Folding phones don’t actually change the size or volume of a smartphone, what they do offer you instead is a less cumbersome experience when it comes to using a similarly sized device. Think of it as a bicycle, most bicycles aren’t all that heavy, instead they’re just really awkward to hold and manipulate in the air. Had the volume of your bicycle been condensed into a ball, you would have very little effort moving and handling that amount of mass. The same applies to technology, screens have gotten so light over the years that people can now one hand TV sets with ease. Remember when you needed an entire crew just to move around your TV in the living room? Those days are gone for good! As time moves on the way we interact with our devices will change, I ultimately expect to have a completely portable 18" laptop thanks to folding screens adding just enough of a flex to the screen in order…
