7 International Travel Tips

1. Pack Light

This should be an obvious one but it still amazes me how both men and women alike don’t quite understand it very well. Keep in mind, whatever you decide to pack, you’ll have to carry that with you all over the place. Now you might say that you only need to take it to the hotel or your Airbnb. Yes, you’re right…But how many trips does it take to get there? From house, to car, to airport, to taxi, to hotel, rinse and repeat. It sounds bearable on paper but trust me, be very vigilant about what you bring, if you don’t use it, it’s literally dead weight and that’s no fun.

2. Get An International Plan

This is one of my personal favorite hacks. Full disclosure I use Google Fi, and in my opinion they have one of the best plans for avid travelers. Not that it’s greatly priced or even that it offers superb performance, instead it is just one of the easiest things to use because you don’t have to do anything when you travel! I’ll stop my rant on Google Fi, but wherever you go make sure when you land you’re either already connected to data or before you leave the airport you get hooked up to a local network. Being connected makes life so much easier when you’re traveling.

3. Always Pay Attention To Your Passport
