Get ready, because I came here to tell you how video games made me a better person in some really random and round about ways.

You Can Always Try Again

Throughout life we’re always so caught up in perfecting the first time we try something. Whether it’s trying to perfect our athleticism in sports, or perfecting the content we put out into the wild west of the internet. We fear that if we mess up the first time we won’t be able to try again. Video games definitely get rid of this thought entirely. While I’m not going to sit around and try to convince you that every moment in life allows for a second chance, most of them do. Applying for a job, getting a girlfriend, generally speaking if you fail the first time there are almost a million more opportunities to follow it up with. Now, in video games this may be taking to the extreme with such things as respawning, but, I still think it can be applicable to the average person’s life. Just because you tried something and were met with failure, doesn’t mean you should give up, go ahead, get up, and try again!
