Little do most people know, but gaming is actually really bad for the environment.

Buy Digital

I loved physical media for the longest time, I truly did. It was almost a year ago when I finally decided to sell my +400 video game collection. That was a bitter sweet moment. Since then I’ve played more games and the reason is, because I purchased digital versions of the games I wanted to play. I understand the joy of cracking open a brand new game case and putting the disc into your console but the fact is, digital versions are simply “the way”. Not only do you no longer have to go to the store to pick them up but you also don’t have to constantly switch out disc in order to change what game you’re playing. Video games may be late to the party but there is a very clear reason why music and video have all gravitated towards digital versions. It’s simply more convenient. On top of the reduction in traveling in order to get the digital version you’re also cutting production cost, no longer will massive game printing operations need to produce all this plastic that sits on shelves. Instead you use a fraction of the energy to download the game to your computer or console respectively. Go digital, and you’ll see more than just an environmental upside.

The elements compose a magnum opus. My modus operandi is amalgam.
