3 Ways To Be A Servant Leader

Leadership is one of those interesting topics that we all know is incredibly important to both organizations, governments and even more social things like families and friend groups. Yet, even with this high level of importance placed upon it, we can’t quite explain the nuances of the topic. What is the difference between a manager and a leader? What’s an informal and formal leader? Is it bad to be a follower? While I won’t even attempt to answer all of those questions in this article, I will instead offer you some insight on how to be a good servant leader!

Start Serving

It sounds like a paradox when you first hear about a servant leader, which is debatably the point behind the whole idea. The best way to become a good servant leader is by serving your team. Figure out what they need from you or what you can do to help and start acting upon those things. Not only will this help you build rapport with your team but it will also help you start to figure out exactly what your team does on a daily basis and what sort of obstacles they face. Which will ultimately lead you to my next piece of advice when it comes to being a servant leader!

Perhaps a team member doesn’t have the proper tools to complete their task or their job, perhaps they aren’t trained properly or more…
