Technology and innovation has been a driving force for the majority of the economy. Not only has it created entirely new industries and disrupted many others, it’s likely improved the lives of billions of people. Think about all of the access that people currently have to information across the world from either their pocket or the comfort of their own home. This simply wasn’t possible just 30 years ago. While this may spell a disaster for libraries, it’s also becoming a playground for people to express themselves and allows others to learn new things as well. So with that being said, here is how I suspect that technology will improve our health over the next decade.

More Data Please

Data isn’t just useful to large organizations, such as Google, Facebook and Amazon, uniquely enough it’s also incredibly useful to individuals such as me and you as well. With useful health metrics coming from our smartphones, smartwatches and perhaps even our cars one day, we’ll be able to notice health concerns far before they become major issues . Whether that’s our devices tracking our respiration rates, sleeping habits or perhaps someday we’ll soon have a non-invasive glucose tracking done by our user friendly smart devices. No matter the technology, as long as we’re being fed meaningful health information it’ll lead towards…
