3 Things I Wish High School Taught Me

A lot of people think back about high school and have some sort of distaste towards that era of their lives, but to be honest and maybe I’m just trying to go against the grain here but, I quite liked high school. I still have friends from high school, and I feel that I was able to explore different interest during those four years. Whether that was engineering, woods, foreign language or my personal favorite keyboarding class (That’s a story for another time). All that to say, high school was far from perfect, so I wanted to share with you three things that I wish high school taught me, so let’s check it out!

Investing

I know it’s probably a little dangerous teaching kids who likely didn’t really have any sort of net worth beyond their monthly allowance how to invest but I think it could have truly changed a lot of people’s lives, mine included. When I first started working, I was told to invest a lot of my money and not to buy a car. So, with that advice I decided to invest a minimal amount of money and buy a car. I’m stubborn. That being said, eventually during the initial COVID-19 outbreak (What wave are we on at this point) I decided to try my hand at investing, initially just increasing my 401k contribution and investing within my Robinhood app a couple bucks every week.
