Look, everyone loves a good summer break. You get to go on vacation with your friends and family and maybe have too many drinks and get a sunburn. All in all, it’s a good time, but there’s one thing that’s better than summer break for all of us Formula 1 fans out there. THE RETURN OF RACE WEEKENDS! That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Formula 1 is back and teams all across the board are preparing to earn as many points as possible for the remainder of the season. So let’s dive into three major take aways from the Belgian Grand Prix!

Hamilton Gets Top Gun Role

I tried to be pretty creative with that headline but if you watched the race you’ll know quite well what I’m referring to. Shortly after starting the race Lewis Hamilton and long time rival Fernando Alonso made contact into a corner where causing Lewis Hamilton to get airborne by potentially 8–10 ft in the air. As Lewis Hamilton came back down to earth with the rest of us peasants things seemed as though he might be able to escape that first lap incident without much drama, things quickly turned awry for Hamilton’s Mercedes. Spewing out loads of coolant Hamilton was forced to come to a halt on the side of the track and leaving him with a depressing DNF for this Belgian Grand Prix.
