It seems that you can beta test everything from your gaming console to your favorite phone application these days, so why should we bother?

Help Develop The Future

This should be the only reason you really need to be quite honest! By interacting with beta software and providing feedback to the developers you are now contributing to the future that you wish to see become reality. It often feels that the user feedback you give becomes lost in the abyss. To be fair, that’s a fair assumption, however on the opposite side of things corporations are quite literally paying out millions of dollars to people that can collect, analyze and manage user feedback. So at the end of the day, the comments and thoughts that you contribute towards a product, especially during the development stage is incredibly important!

Ensure Device Compatibility

This is a big one for me. I try to avoid upgrading my hardware as much as I can, by doing so I’m left with what most would consider out dated hardware. However, thanks to the efforts of several different corporations, yes, even the evil ones.
