3 Reasons To Stop Using Physical Media
VHS, Compact disc, paper books, video game cartridges, DVDs even Blu-rays. These were all things that I absolutely loved having at one point, however as I grew further into the digital age I became more and more reliant on digital versions. Now, I’m not writing this article in an attempt to move you away from those very formats I once loved! Actually, that is exactly what I’m doing, and here’s why.
Space
Maybe you aren’t as much of a minimalist as I am but I think everyone can appreciate a little more space in their home. The fact is all these different formats can take up a lot of space. Space that is basically only décor until you use one of these very mediums. I’ll challenge you to take a visual inventory of all the physical media you have in your home, and then, just imagine that it’s gone. Sure a specific bookshelf somewhere may look better with a few books or DVD’s but everywhere else? You could probably go without them in my opinion.

This is one of those “First world problem” sort of conversations that I think is rather interesting. At one point, you had to go to the amphitheater to watch a play at a specific time and date.
