Look, minimalism isn’t for everyone, so if it’s not, go ahead and skip this article. If you’re either a minimalist already, looking to downsize or are just starting to question this idea of “stuff” in our lives, then you’re in the right place! I believe there are a lot of reasons to own less stuff so I thought I’d write an article about! So let’s find out three reasons to own less stuff!
Saves Time
Believe it or not owning stuff takes a lot of time out of any given day. Not only are you forced to maintain your stuff whether that’s changing the oil on your car or dusting off that awesome vinyl collection you’ve built over the years, these are moments of your day that could be spent doing something a lot more enjoyable. While I do think you should be conscious of the minimal amounts of time that each item takes up I also think there are items in our lives that actually do add value such as bicycles or perhaps this very laptop that I’m typing on! Figure out what adds value and what takes up too much time!
Decrease Expenses
That’s right ladies and gentlemen, I’m here to tell you that buying stuff does indeed cost you money! Now of course this doesn’t mean everything is to be considered a bad investment a car could help you get to and from work (or visit your girlfriend) and a smartphone can help keep you…
