3 Reasons I’m Hyped For The Robinhood Gold Card

Now Robinhood definitely has its fair share of controveries. Whether we’re talking about the Gamestop saga or gamifying investing, Robinhood is not entirely innocent. That being said, I have been an avid user of Robinhood for over 3 years and I think it is one of the best financial tools I have at my disposal, and now, they’re introducing credit cards. So here’s why I’m excited for this!

Unifying Finances

Whether you’re talking about consolidating your debts, keeping your retirement accounts under one management or just not losing money, unifying your finances is incredibly powerful. This is why I’m super excited to try out a credit card that is under the same roof as my brokerage account and my retirement accounts. Even though these things likely won’t interact too much with eachother, I still see a lot of value in having them under one roof. Diversifying investments is correct, but that doesn’t mean you need to have 20 different banking apps.

Credit Score

Now I have to go ahead and pat myself on the back by saying, my credit score is pretty dang good. However, for a lot of people that is not always the case and by Robinhood introducing a credit card that can be shared easily with family members I think this opens up a whole new world for people to build credit…
