3 Reasons I Ride My Bike Instead Of Drive My Car
Now let’s make it clear, I still have a car for reason, I don’t ride my bike out of town when I go visit a friend, mostly because I’m lazy but also because it would just take way too long versus a car. That being said I do ride my bike quite a bit, whether that's to run errands or just to get out of the house, I enjoy both the functional and recreational side of riding my bike around town here are some of the reasons why.
Money
If you’ve read any of my articles you would know that I’m either a greedy pig or a penny pincher. Whichever way you choose to look at it, I like making money and I like saving money. I’m here to tell you that riding my bike more often than not has saved me quite a bit of money over the last couple of months. While I did indeed spend a small fortune on my bike I think the ability to ride something that really only requires new tires after a year or two is very ideal from a financial standpoint. You don’t have to insure a bicycle and you don’t have to refuel a bicycle, you do of course have to eat and drink some sort of sustenance in order to have energy but I hope you’re doing that anyways. On top of the very clear cost savings associated with riding a bicycle it’s also important to factor in the health savings as well.
