3 Reasons College Is Still A Good Idea

College is one of those strange things that more or less became the norm just a few years ago. However, now it seems like that trend is kicking and people are flocking away from colleges and going in different directions instead. While I don’t think a college education is truly for everyone I do still see a lot of value in college and here is why.

Built In Gap Year

Gap years are something I feel like I don’t have a lot of experience with. At least not in the traditional sense, and perhaps that's a disconnect with me personally. However, going to school has a built in gap year that gives you plenty of time to find new opportunities or experiment with what you actually want to do immediately following graduation. With multiple holiday breaks in the winter time, and your summer break, you get nearly half a year of break time. When people say you have to give up 4 years of your life in order to go to college, that’s just not true. I wasn’t even super active during my first four years of college but I worked a part time job, worked on my content creation and graduated in 3 years. I don’t say this gloat, I say this because most of you have a lot more energy and drive than I do, so don’t pretend that you have to drop everything else you want to do just to go to college.

It’s Not That Expensive
