3 Reasons I Focus On Dividend Investing

I discovered investing probably right around the same time that many of you did, during the global pandemic that forced us all to stay home. Now that it’s easier than ever to invest from anywhere in the world, investors and day traders alike are taking the world by storm. Even with all the crazy meme stocks and crypto crazes i continue to sink money in my boring dividend paying ETFs, here’s why.

Low Risk

Unless we’re talking about some adrenaline junkie adventure, most people prefer to reduce risk, especially with regards to investing your hard earned money. That’s why I’m building up my dividend investment portfolio, with dividend investing. 99% of the time I’m buying into well established organizations that have a tried and true business strategy, sure you probably won’t strike gold anytime soon while your investing in dividend stocks but you also won’t lose half your net worth when some crazy event shakes the entire stock market. Of course, with 2020 as crazy as it was, who knows, I could be completely wrong.

Mindless

I’m going to admit it, I’m a lazy person. I may be pursuing my doctoral degree while working a full time job and writing these articles on the side but I still generally find ways of getting out of work if I can afford to do so. Dividend investing is one of those key ways…
