3 Items I Paid A lot For
If you know me, you’ll know that I’m an incredibly cheap human being. I like buying used (when it makes sense) and I have very little issue using something all the way until its end of life in hopes of squeezing out every little inch of value before something either gets downcycled into something else or just thrown a way. Sure part of me is trying to do better by the planet, but most of me is just cheap, that’s just the hard truth. That being said, I have spent a pretty penny on some expensive things in my life and I wanted to go over a few of them here just to explain that being cheap, doesn’t mean you can’t have nice things!
Ford Focus RS 2016
Totaling a whopping $36,000 before registration, insurance and of course premium fuel in 2022 amid a Russian invasion on both Ukraine and my gas station visits. I love this car but I had no business buying a car this expensive a year after graduating while still paying off my students loan and entering into graduate school as well. If you’re not very familiar with this car just know that it’s a sporty hothatch that boast 350HP and 350lb/ft, mix in a trick all-wheel-drive system and a literal button to activate drift mode, and you’re in the mix for what is a very fun and very expensive automobile.
