Ever since reading Charles Duhigg’s book, The Power Of Habit I’ve without a doubt been obsessed with building a strong set of positive habits that help me live a healthier, happier and more meaningful life. That said, I’ve also failed a lot with habits, some times I try to develop habits that I wasn’t quite ready for or perhaps habits that didn’t actually fit my lifestyle at the time. With that said I wanted to share with you the 3 most important habits that I’ve developed over the years that have undoubtedly changed my life!

Working Out

For the longest time I had a really interesting love hate relationship with working out. Originally I enjoyed the gains and the sense of progress and masculinity that I felt while working out but every once and awhile that would wane and I would find myself burnt out from trying to reach goals that I clearly wasn’t within shooting range of hitting. Eventually I developed a workout that I could complete on a daily basis and I’ve been so consistent with this habit that it’s no longer a love or hate relationship, it’s simply just a part of my routine each and every day after work. Now of course some workouts are better than others based on my mood and perhaps how the day went prior to that workout but generally speaking I can still put in a solid 90% effort each and every day.
