I’ve spent a lot of my adult and child life surrounded by technology, I’ve seen really cool technology and I’ve seen things that just made me scratch my head and ask why? While there are certainly other technologies that should probably die, I wanted to focus on the computing technology first an foremost, so no, I’m not going to be talking about how stupid fake engine noise in cars needs to be removed. So, without further ado, let’s talk about 3 computer technologies that need to be dropped, immediately!

Desktops

I understand that there is a crowd out and about that still uses a desktop to squeeze out every single bit of performance for their task. I also understand that there are many professionals out there that benefit from these performance advantages, that being said, laptops are just so ridiculously better. Not only are you getting performance that at the very least, is only a generation or two behind the possibilities of desktop hardware but you’re also gaining so more mobility and usability when it comes to laptops. Between the fact that a power outage won’t affect you while using a laptop and that you don’t really have to spend a whole lot of money on peripherals since everything is already baked into the device…
