Yes, I’m Still A Google Fanboy
Even though I’m a Google fanboy at heart, there is no denying that a large amount of my time working with technology is on a laptop running Windows 10 (Since I can’t use Windows 11 officially). So as much as I like to ignore Microsoft at times I do think it’s important to acknowledge the fact that I use a lot of their software, so let’s go over what I consider to be the best applications that Microsoft has to offer.
Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge actually has a pretty interesting history once you start to look back it. Originally meant to replace the aging Internet Explorer that, at the time was rapidly losing marketshare to browsers such as Google Chrome, Opera and of course the tried and true Mozilla Firefox. The originally release was swiftly followed by the adoption of Chromium technology, fundamentally meaning that if you chose to use Microsoft Edge you were choosing to support Google’s own Chromium software. The foundation of both Google Chrome and Google’s Chrome OS. While this may have seemed like a questionable decision at the time since it’s more or less using Microsoft resources to support a Google product considering the open source nature of things, it ultimately ended up being a worthwhile investment for Microsoft, not only do they now have a viable browser solution…
