  1. Improved Air Quality

According to the EPA motor vehicles contribute up to 75% of the carbon monoxide pollution in the U.S. Now, this is an old statistic and I’m sure with improved efficiencies and regulations this number has gone down. But imagine a world where every household no longer has a carbon monoxide generating machine. This could have huge ramifications for public health. These health benefits have benefits outside of just living longer. People will live happier lives and we could see healthcare cost decline as a direct result of electrified transportation! Talk about a win for healthcare!

2. Reduced Noise Pollution

This is yet another big health benefit of electrified transportation. Now, before I continue I want to point out that the main culprit of vehicular noise is actually the tire contacting the road. So since electric vehicles still have tires, there will still be noise. That being said often times the noisiest vehicles on the road have huge V8 engines or even mechanical issues. With electric cars removing the engine entirely and a reduction in mechanical complexity we’re now going to be reducing the noise we hear throughout our day that comes from vehicles. Now this has yet more healthcare related ramifications. Not only could this lead to a reduction in hearing loss across all generations but it could even…
